René Boutin

René Boutin, an artist from New Caledonia, has developed his thinking and activities across a very broad spectrum of fields: from sociology, politics, natural history and environmental concerns to the communicative languages possible within and beyond world art activities. The diversity of his interests has favoured multi-media and installation formats in his own artworks. He has exhibited in international exhibitions in Tahiti, New Delhi, Nouméa, Singapore, and Australia (ARX, Perth, 1992; 2nd Asia-Pacific Triennial, Brisbane, 1996).
