project description:
My project is a new style of art based on Aboriginal design drawings of Australian animals combined with computer graphics. This style incorporates a bio-medical function x-ray style which shows an Aboriginal concept of the way the kidney filters and cleans blood. The concept with my style of art begins with the image, which is drawn with a fine felt tip black pen on acid free paper. The image drawn is then scanned into the computer.
I then separately design a new graphical image with the computer that I believe is suited to the image already drawn image. I use a computer program called Adobe Photoshop to complete this task. When I am happy with the graphically designed image, I then carefully combine the two images together to make one image. The image is then reproduced on quality paper or specialised canvas as limited editions prints only.
