Adam Zaretsky

Adam Zaretsky has just finished teaching a novel course, 'Art and Biology Studio' as a Professor of Conceptual/Information Arts (CIA) at San Francisco State University. http://userwww.sfsu.edu/~infoarts

He is a perpetually rotating academic who studies embryology, parasitology and glossolalia at the University of Pataphysics in Woodstock, New York, USA. He has just performed the 'Workhorse Zoo', an interspecies reenactment of the popular television show, 'Survivor?? The Salina Art Center in Kansas, USA. Adam spent a week in a portable aseptic containment facility with a gaggle of each of the major workhorses of modern molecular biology: bacteria, yeast, flies, worms, fish, frogs, mice and plant. http://www.salinaartcenter.org/uv/workhorse_site/wwww.html

He now plans to join SymbioticA, The Art and Science Collaborative Research Laboratory www.symbiotica.uwa.edu.au/ as a researcher in the Department of Anatomy and Human Biology, University of Western Australia with Oron Catts (www.tca.uwa.edu.au) and Dr. Stuart Bunt. He will continue his research on the effects of music on the dynamic seeding of tissue cultures onto biopolymers.
